Artist Open House

WOW! What a fantastic night!!! The Artist Open House was a huge success! There were a lot of new people who hadn't ever been in the store and a few who had never seen my cards before. Val, Sarah Leu and I all had good sales. I am really excited about the direction this business is taking. Thank you to all be great friends that support me and my sister who drove all the way from Chippewa Falls to support me on my big night!

Artist Spotlight at Karma Gifts

Yay!!! I am so excited! On November 12th, 2009 I will be the Artist in the Artist Spotlight at Karma Gifts! I will have extra product in for Christmas and I will receive 100% commission for the evening. I will also have a giveaway with lots of goodies. I hope all you locals will come down to visit!

Busy little bird...

I have been so hectic lately! School has started and fall is coming. I actually have a work day today which I am so excited about! Especially since I will be selling my cards tomorrow at the Scottish Heritage Fest in Hudson! It will be a telling day for me because I haven't done this yet and I hope to be able to set up a few booths before Christmas. I have over 75 gift tags made, a few journals and a few photo albums. Now I have to make about 100 cards. The good news is- if they don't sell tomorrow I will be ahead of the game for Karma and Hudson Bagel and Coffee Company! Here is a sample of the gift tags...

I know in the age of computers most people don't use journals anymore. But for me, I still like the written word. True, I am not a great typer maybe that has something to do with it. But I also just like the feel, the substance, of holding a book. With Kindle and other electronic books, I am so afraid that some day real books will no longer be available. What would that do to libraries???

I have many journals. Most of them I never finish, never use all the pages before I am opening the pages a of a new colorful journal. Journals are my soft spot. It is hard for me to walk past the stationery aisle in the store.

These journals are made from Environotes notebooks with 100% recycled paper.
